A fabulous first day!

Even though this was a very strange way to kick off our school year, today was a fabulous first day! I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know a lot of fun things about our A-010ers. It was a long day after so many months away, and I was really impressed by our class - they did a wonderful job being kind and welcoming to one another, patient with technology issues, and engaged in all of the activities.

In the afternoon we joined with Mrs. Kewriga and Mrs. O'Leary's class to work in groups and get to know the other Firefly students a bit better. We listened to a read aloud of the book, I am Human, by Susan Verde. We then met in breakout rooms to find similarities amongst ourselves and used those similarities to create Jamboard displays. Check out the slideshow with the students' work below - they are so creative!
